Easter throughout the Food Blogosphere

April 22, 2011 By Julie 20 Comments

Easter is finally upon us.  As you know, my clan is celebrating in true family fashion this year with a trip to Disney.  As we wrap up on our last day in the land of the mouse, I thought it might be appropriate to put up a post showcasing some of my favorite Easter creations I’ve discovered from around the food blogosphere this spring season.

Check out these pastel colored lemon sugar cookies I spied over at Baked by Rachel.  Don’t they look delicious?  I love the beautiful spring colors she used.

And how about these adorable bunny whoopie pies from Kathy at Cooking on the Side?  They are almost too cute to eat!  I did say almost.

I just love this idea for a peep inspired topiary from Jessie over at The Hungry Mouse.  Just tell me that wouldn’t make a fabulous Easter centerpiece.  I’m certain my boys, especially Alex, who would seriously consider selling one of his brothers to the gypsies for a bowl of jelly beans, would wholeheartedly agree.

I love this more traditional Polish Easter Placek from Delicious Inspiration.  Doesn’t that pastry look positively swoon-worthy?

Finally, I saw this post for natural Easter eggs dyes over at Comfy Tummy and knew I had try it!  Check out those gorgeous colors she achieved.  I’ll never use the processed stuff again!

Now it’s your turn.  Do you have an Easter treat, meal, craft, or centerpiece you’d like to share?  Add it to the Family Friendly Friday’s link up and let’s see watcha got.  I hope everyone has a blessed Easter weekend and if I make it home from Disney in one piece, I’ll see you back here on Tuesday.

Julie, what wonderful features! I’m really excited about the Polish recipe! Some of my ancestors hailed from Poland, but we don’t have any recipes that were passed down. I always relish an opportunity to try a recipe with my family that comes from one of our ancestral homelands!

Thank you so much for the linky too. I did a lot of Easter themed baking and chocolatiering this month.

    Happy Easter!

This post is total eye candy! I can’t believe you haven’t done the natural dyeing. A chemistry teacher in high school made us do it, it’s really cool what you can come up with!

    Happy Easter!

I hope you had a lovely time at Disney and a fantastic Easter! What a beautiful post…I am so jealous of creative people because I have zero creativity! Zero!
