There’s 93 days left until Christmas. I know, I probably shouldn’t be talking about it yet, but the reason I bring it up is because there’s only 52 days left until the Grove Park Inn Gingerbread competition and, call me crazy, but I’m thinking I might want to try and enter this year. I’m not inspired to win it all (have you seen some of the winning entries? If not, check them out HERE. You’ll be amazed, I promise), I really just want to try my hand at a gingerbread house that’s a level or two up from what my kids could create and then use it to spend an amazing discounted (all entrants get a discount to the hotel) weekend in a beautiful setting to officially ring in the holiday season.
So what I’m hoping to ask all of you for is some inspiration for the theme of the design. I have a few ideas in mind already, but I know you guys are a creative group so I’m throwing it out to hear what you have to say! It doesn’t have to be a house either. They encourage you to get creative and try different ideas. Nicholas has told me to make a Death Star Christmas theme, but I’m not 100% convinced with that one yet.
Being Friday, it’s also time for another round of Family Friendly Fridays! Today I’m going to throw up a Nummy Noodle Soup that all three of my kids absolutely loved! Between the noodles and the tofu chunks, they couldn’t get enough. We bought our ramen noodles at an international grocery store but I’m guessing that if you just bought the regular everyday ones at the store and threw away the sodium flavor packet, they would work just as well.
As always, the link up is at the bottom of the post. Feel free to link up any family friendly post you’d like. It can be food, crafts, posts about your kids, or the like. Let’s make some nummy noodle soup!
