Sometimes Simple, Sometimes Grand, Always Declicious
Ever been to Panera and tried out one of their broth bowls? Well I have and I love them with a serious foodie passion. I’ve eaten all the varieties and my favorite by far is the quinoa bowl. It just feels healthy. Being the flexible vegetarian that I am, I tend to order it with the egg. My husband and boys, on the other hand, are meat lovers to the extreme so for them, chicken it is….
For part three of the Panera project, I was given a gift card and asked to head back and appreciate the bakery and cafe in any way I desired. No constraints, no theme. Simply enjoy a meal and share a facet of the experience that I felt deserved recognition. I chewed on this idea for a bit in an attempt to figure out the best approach for highlighting Panera in a manner that I hadn’t already done.
My opportunity came this past Saturday. Scott took the older boys to the Pinewood derby to race Nick’s car and it was just Andrew and myself left back at the house. I determined that I needed to spend a little one-on-one time with my youngest and what better way to do that than over breakfast at Panera. Especially considering I had never even eaten breakfast there before. Heck, I didn’t even know they offered breakfast until recently. Yes I’m a bit blonde and a bit behind the times.

Over the next few months I’ll be working on a project with Panera Bread (ok twist my arm, I LOVE Panera). The first part of said project entailed heading over to my local sandwich shop and indulging in a fresh, healthy and downright delicious lunch. And of course, lunch is always better with company, so I called up my friend Kim and invited her to join me.
I don’t know about you, but just the mere act of walking into Panera makes me instantly hungry. Delicious breads and pastries of all shapes and flavors line the counter. It’s as though they are calling out my name as I stand there in line…. “Julie, eat me. Please eat me. You know how tasty I am.” Yep, I definitely know how tasty you are and yes, some of you may just come home with me before everything is said and done.
