Protein Powered 7 Layer Dip
I’m thrilled to be chatting it up about Birds Eye® Protein Blends today. I’m not sure if you’ve heard about these little gems yet but let me tell you, it’s high time you did. With super healthy ingredients such as lentils, beans, brown rice and veggies they’re a perfect addition to any meal or recipe. So far I’ve tried out the California Style and the Southwest Style. Both were hits with not only the hubby but also the kids!
Spinach and Artichoke Dip
Now I realize there are a million and one recipes for spinach artichoke dip out there, really I do. But dag nabbit; it’s a woman’s prerogative to have a serious flavor craving and, in turn, follow said craving, all the way to the ooey gooey dip bowl conclusion. You know I’m right because you’ve been there yourself. Don’t try and deny it, we both know better. Allow me to set the scene.

If you follow Mommie Cooks on Facebook, then you’ll know that I’ve been thoroughly immersed in a culinary boot camp at the downtown campus of Johnson and Wales for the past couple weekends. I’ve only completed two of the nine classes to date, but in those two weeks we’ve learned everything from basic knife skills to the intricacies of taking apart a whole chicken. On the agenda for future classes we can expect to learn braising, sauteing, frying, grilling and much, much more.
